The Jefferson City Council met last night in regular session.
The Council approved paying $500 for demolition reimbursement for a structure that was torn down at 501 South Chestnut Street.
The Council approved paying money to four private landowners for easements for a water and sewer extension project that was approved in August for the development of the Wild Rose Jefferson facility. $250 would be paid to Finch’s Greene County Motor Company, $21,800 would be paid for an easement on the Bravard family property, Wright and Brunell’s easements would each get $1,000, Greene County would not require a payment and Russell Brand’s Athletic (formerly American Athletic Incorporated) also did not want a payment.
The Council set October 14th as a public hearing date for Lincoln Ridge Estates, Brairwood Subdivision and all the easements for the Wild Rose Jefferson water and sewer project to be allowed to be classified under the Jefferson Urban Renewal Area to use Tax Increment Financing on any of those projects.
Due to not having the proper paperwork complete, the Council did not vote on the contract and bonds for the three water and sewer improvement projects which includes Wild Rose Jefferson.
