The Gardens Assisted Living in Jefferson is celebrating the end of National Assisted Living Week with a free concert tomorrow.

Manager Mike Early says they will have an open house that starts at 1:30pm on Friday, September 12th with a free concert by the Al Welsh Orchestra at 2pm in the courtyard.

He points out that the concert will happen rain or shine and if it is raining, they will move it to the dining room of their facility.

Early notes that they’ve had a different theme each day this week with tomorrow’s theme being “Red, White and Blue”.  He encourages everyone to bring their lawn chairs and adds that food and drinks will be provided.

He believes National Assisted Living Week is important for them to highlight not only what their facility can offer but that they also provided rooms and services for those who may be recovering from surgery and can’t live on their own.
