The ADM football team will try to bounce back from a blowout loss last Friday at Ballard when they open up district play at home at 7:30 p.m. tonight against the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs.
The Tigers (1-1) will face a challenge that has become a common theme for them this season: stop a running quarterback. ADM’s defense came up huge in the Tigers’ week one win over Perry, limiting speedy Blue Jays quarterback Will Whiton to 100 yards rushing — the same player who dashed for 257 yards rushing and five touchdowns the following week.
But in their 42-14 at Ballard last Friday, the Tigers allowed Bombers QB Quentin Erickson to go off for 179 yards rushing and three TDs on just 18 carries
For Dallas Center-Grimes (1-1), junior QB Austin Kloewer leads the offense with 111 yards rushing on 29 carries and a score on the ground. To come out with a victory, ADM’s defense must bring the same kind of sound quarterback contain defense it had against Perry.
Our coverage on KKRF 107.9 FM and raccoonvalleyradio.com begins at 6:45 p.M., with kickoff at 7:30.
