The animal control officer checked the report of a Golden Labrador running at large near the John Deere Plant in Paton.

A deputy was requested for court security at the Greene County Court House.

A deputy was dispatched to Grand Junction to investigate the report of an erratic and careless driver tearing around town. The vehicle was not located upon the deputy’s arrival.

Saturday, September 13th

A deputy was dispatched to an alarm activation at the Peoples Trust and Savings Bank in Grand Junction. It was determined that cleaning personnel accidentally activated the alarm and the bank was found to be secure.

A deputy was dispatched to a single vehicle accident between the S curves on 230th and 235th Streets east of Jefferson. A 2009 Volvo S40 being driven by Araceli Elizabeth Stroburg 18, of Jefferson was westbound on 230th Street when her car drove off the roadway and entered the ditch, coming to rest in a pasture with standing water. Ms. Stroburg was transported the Greene County Medical Center with minor injuries by the Greene County Emergency Medical Services for evaluation. It is believed that a medical condition may have contributed to the accident. No damage estimate to the vehicle or the fence was determined at that time.

A deputy spoke with a resident in the 1800 block of 283rd Street about a harassment concern.

A deputy was dispatched to the 400 block of Madison Street in Scranton to check the welfare of the residents.

Sunday, September 14th

A deputy assisted the Churdan Fire Department in locating an outbuilding structure fire in the 3400 block of 370th Street in Calhoun County.

A deputy was asked to deliver a death notification, involving a relative, to a Greene County resident.

A deputy was advised of a possible intoxicated driver at the Sparky’s One Stop in Churdan. After an investigation by the deputy he arrested Jesse Kenneth James Summerfield  31, of Churdan for Operation of a Motor Vehicle while Barred, Reckless Driving and Child Endangerment.

A deputy and the Chief Deputy Sheriff, along with the K-9 Leo, checked an unoccupied residence in the 600 block of Jay Street in Churdan. The deputies and the K-9 did not locate anyone in the building.

A deputy was asked by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office to speak with a Greene County resident in the 1200 block of I Avenue about a harassment concern.

A Webster County Deputy transported a wanted male subject to the Webster – Greene County line for a Greene County Deputy to take custody of the male for transport to the Greene County Jail.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all  defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
