greene countyAbsentee voting for the November 4th general election starts today.

Greene County Deputy Auditor Billie Jo Hoskins says those interested in voting before the November 4th election can do so by absentee ballot.

She states that any registered Greene County voter may stop by the Auditor’s office during normal business hours from 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday.  A request for an absentee ballot may be filled out and an absentee ballot can be mailed to you as well.

If you are wanting to vote by absentee ballot by mail, then it must be postmarked by October 31st, otherwise, it won’t be counted.  All in office absentee voting must be done by 4:30pm on Monday, November 3rd.

Polls for the general election will be open from 7am-9pm on Tuesday, November 4th.

Those wanting to register to be an eligible voter may do so at the Auditor’s office.
