The DMACC Perry Van Kirk Career Academy is hosting their first Career Discovery Day later this month.

The Impact Your World event is for high school students and their parents.  Attendees will be able to learn more about career opportunities in welding, manufacturing and health occupations through hands-on activities and interactive sessions.

Students will also hear about the high school academy programs and what the DMACC experience is like from a student perspective during a panel discussion.

Participants will also be able to tour the Dallas County Hospital or a local manufacturing business while hearing from current workplace professionals.

The free event takes place Thursday, October 23d from 11:30-3pm.  Lunch is provided and space is limited.
