After being rained out last month, Hy-Vee and the Humane Society of Perry have rescheduled their inaugural pet event for this weekend.

Stop by Hy-Vee between 10am and 1pm to check out adoptable pets. The Humane Society will also have free information on how to license your pet in Perry, why it’s important to do so and how to get a permit for the dog park.

Citizens can also drop off cash donations or food and supplies to help support the local shelters.
