The Perry volleyball team dropped a five game match to Winterset Tuesday night 26-24, 12-25, 17-25, 25-13 and 11-15. Perry’s Claire Marburger set a school record with four blocks in one game and she finished the night with 7 blocks. Amy Marckres led the way with 11 kills and Ellie Nielsen 10. Maggie Lowe had 17 assists.
“The difference between the first three sets and the fourth was our focus and aggressiveness. The first three sets we were almost instantly down five to seven points. We are still in the process of perfecting our lineup. I made sure to point out that we want to be playing well by the end of the season when regionals come around. I have no doubt we will get there,” added Head Coach Kristel Kautzky.
Perry will return to action next Tuesday with the Jayette Tournament.
