Today and tomorrow there will be a book fair at the Stuart Public Library, and library director Sandy Pollard says that due to budget cuts, things like the book fair are absolutely necessary for the Library to purchase new books for patrons to borrow, “We get 50% of the proceeds from the fair to buy more books, so for example if two thousand dollars worth of books are sold at the fair, we would get one thousand dollars to buy more books. We would really like for everyone to come on out.”
The fair runs until 7 pm Wednesday evening and will take place from 1 pm to 7pm on Thursday.
