Greene County fell to 9-9 on the season and 4-3 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference volleyball action after losing first to Boone and then to Gilbert in Boone on Tuesday night. The Rams won the first set against Class 4A number 9 Boone by a 28-26 score, then lost the best two-of-three game by set scores of 18-25, 7-15. The Rams were swept by unranked Gilbert 15-25, 23-25, 16-25.

The Rams won the first set by two points and never led any of the other five sets by more than a point. Greene County fell to 25-25 in sets for the season.

Coach Donna Carhill’s team plays in Alleman on Thursday night vs. Class 3A number 14 North Polk. The Rams end the week in Pella on Saturday at the Pella Tournament.
