A Woodward woman was hospitalized with severe injuries after a tractor accident Sunday afternoon.

According to Dallas County Sheriff Chad Leonard, his department along with Dallas County EMS and Woodward Rescue were called to 402 Elm Avenue in Woodard shortly after 2:30pm Sunday.

On scene investigation shows a 31 year-old woman was assisting in moving two tractors near the garage when she fell off between the two and one of the tractors backed over her.

The woman, whose name has not yet been released, was pinned for a brief moment and sustained severe internal injuries.  She was transported to Mercy Medical Center for treatment and her current status is unknown at this time.

The Sheriff’s office says the incident appears to be accident and the case remains under investigation.
