The Perry Bluejays are still hoping to lock one of four playoff spots in 3A District 2 in their final 2 games. Perry will travel to Webster City this Friday night before finishing the year at Humboldt. The Jays currently sit 2-2 in district play and 3-4 overall.
“To make the playoffs would be huge for our program,” commented Perry Captain Will Whiton. “We could be the team to start a tradition here in Perry and to have so many of our younger guys experience the atmosphere would be really neat.” Whiton feels the playoff atmosphere would be a great tool for the younger guys to experience and provide motivation during the offseason for them to work even harder.
Perry will look to stop a run heavy Webster City team Friday night. Kickoff will be 7:30.
