ADM’s offense has been able to move the ball all season, and the last two weeks, has finally matched its high yardage totals with high scoring outputs. The running game came alive in Friday’s 45-28 win over Glenwood, but all season, the offense has relied on a robust passing game.

When Norwalk visits Adel this Friday for a non-district contest, the Warriors will look to fight fire with fire as two of the top passing offenses in Class 3A square off at 7:30 p.m.

Coming off a win over Glenwood in which he threw for 340 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions, Tigers junior quarterback Frank Weiland leads all of Class 3A with 1,734 yards, over 300 yards more than the next highest total. He also leads the class with 229 attempts and 129 completions, and is tied for the most interceptions in the class with 12 to go along with 12 touchdowns.

Opposing Weiland on Friday will be Norwalk sophomore signal-caller Brady Brandsfield, who is seventh in Class 3A with 1,289 yards passing and has completed nearly 60 percent of his passes to go along with 14 touchdowns and just four interceptions.

Friday’s game doesn’t impact ADM’s playoff chances, but one things is for sure: the ball will spend a lot of time in the air. Our coverage on K107 and raccoonvalleyradio.com begins at 6:45 p.m.
