A deputy was dispatched to a reported car-deer accident on Highway 30 west of S Avenue on the West Buttrick Creek bridge. A 2005 Volkswagen Jetta being driven by Angelica Ester Brager 27, of Grand Junction was westbound on 220th Street when she struck a deer carcass in her lane on the bridge causing her vehicle to veer into the bridge railing. Angelica Brager was not injured but her Volkswagen did sustain an estimated $5000 in damages.
A deputy checked an abandoned vehicle off the roadway on G Avenue at 240th Street.
A deputy was dispatched to the 1200 block of 130th Street for a reported suspicious vehicle. A detailed vehicle description was given but the pickup was not located at this time.
A deputy responded to check the welfare of an elderly male in the 600 block of Dudley Street in Churdan. The deputy transported the elderly male to a shelter for the night.
A deputy spoke with a Churdan resident about the possible violation of a no contact order involving other family members.
A deputy was advised of a careless and erratic driver on Highway 30 near X Avenue. The vehicle was not located.
Dispatchers at the Greene County Law Enforcement Center received an abandoned E-911 call that mapped to the 400 block of Hager Street in Grand Junction. After a call back to that phone number the residents indicated everything to be in order.
The animal control officer and a deputy responded to the report of a barking dog complaint in the 500 block of Jefferson Street in Scranton.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
