The Greenfield town square has joined an exclusive club, as it was recently named to the National Register of Historic Places. Individual Greenfield square structures listed on the Register include The Warren Opera House, Hotel Greenfield and the former Adair County Free Press Building. To be considered for the Register, a property must demonstrate historical contribution relating to a significant person or time period.
