A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department, the Jefferson Fire Department and the Greene County Emergency Medical Services in notifying residents to evacuate a two block area during a gas line rupture at the new Hy-Vee construction site.

The Chief Deputy Sheriff, the Sheriff and three deputies from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office along with four DNR Conservation Enforcement Officers each executed their respective search warrants at a rural residence in the 300 block of C Avenue. After a two day investigation by Greene County deputies, three male subjects were subsequently arrested on a variety of charges. Hossein Kolbehdari 20, of Ankeny, Iowa, was arrested for Theft 5th, Possession of Stolen Property, Harassment 3rd Degree, Assault, Disorderly Conduct – two counts, Assault on a Person of Certain Occupation, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession with the Intent to Deliver Marijuana and Gathering where controlled Substances are Unlawfully Used. Maxwell Steven McGlothlen 21, of Ankeny, Iowa, was arrested for Assault on a Person of Certain Occupation, Harassment, Assault, Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana, Disorderly Conduct and Driving a Motor Vehicle While Barred. Rheise Allen Presnall 22, of Polk City, Iowa, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Assault on a Person of Certain Occupation, Assault, Harassment 3rd and Gathering where Controlled Substance Unlawfully Used. The DNR Conservation Officers also have many hunting and game violation citations that will be issued at a later time. At this time the investigation by both agencies is ongoing.

A deputy was unable to locate a reported intoxicated driver in Churdan.

A deputy was advised of a female that was bitten by her own dog and was at the Emergency Room at the Greene County Medical Center.

Wednesday, November 5th

A deputy spoke with a Grand Junction resident regarding a civil issue involving personal property.

A deputy initiated a traffic stop in the 200 block of 16th Street in Grand Junction and subsequently arrested Lawrence Shannon O’Neal 39, of Grand Junction for Driving While Revoked and Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated 2nd or Subsequent Offense.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
