The Stuart City Council will convene tonight for a meeting with a packed agenda. Firstly, the council will consider the consent agenda, which approves minutes of previous meetings and would also grant a liquor license to the Stuart Casey’s convenience store. Secondly, the depot project will be discussed, both as a change order on a fence, and a project payment of about twenty thousand dollars. Several aspects of the downtown facade project will be discussed, including a possible rezoning of the downtown area. Some emergency department news as a sale of a fire department tanker truck will appear in front of the council, as will the rescue unit’s completion of a National Incident Management Systems class, and the police department will present nuisance properties. The meeting starts at 6:30 pm inside of the Stuart City Hall Council Chambers.
