The Greene County high school and middle school wrestlers, plus the Greene County Ramblers Wrestling Club will all be calling the Jefferson Fieldhouse home for a second straight year. The wrestling room, just one facet of the facility. located one block south of the southeast corner of the square, becomes quite busy in November and stays that way for several months. The Wrestling Club began practice on Nov. 2 while the high school and middle schoolers begin official practice later this month.
Jeff Schroeder of The Jefferson Fieldhouse told Raccoon Valley Radio he was very pleased with how things went last year and he’s heard nothing but positive feedback. He’s looking forward to having the Rams train there again, citing more room than at the high school, and having that part of the building being dedicated to wrestling.
Wrestling is the Greene County school district’s only indoor sport that trains at a non-school facility.
