ADM Cross Country had its annual postseason banquet on Tuesday, when coaches honored the boys and girls teams’ seniors. Tigers head coach David Zwank also took some time to talk with his talented underclassmen runners about what they should be thinking about for next season.

“The main focus will be to try and come in ready, certainly for those underclassmen,” Zwank said. That group of freshman right now, the coaches, we have our eye on the potential for them and convincing them that they have a future that they probably don’t even really understand at this point in time.”

The ADM girls squad was particularly freshmen-heavy this past season. A core group of Ashlie Hauf, Kylie Hauf, Jesse Howard and Sidney Engleman were more often than not within the top five ADM runners to cross the finish line. Ashlie Hauf just made the cutoff for All-conference honors when she finished 20th at the Raccoon River Conference meet last month.

On the boys side, sophomore Brady Meier and freshmen Eli Schwarzkopf and Ben Sieleman typically appeared on the results list for varsity races.
