The City of Menlo has completed their financial report and submitted it to the State Auditor’s office just ahead of the December 1st deadline to do so, and the city is in slightly better shape than they originally budgeted for. Menlo’s biggest revenue generator was property taxes, of which they collected $88,434 from July 1, 2013 to June, 30 2014, that exceeded their budgeted expectation of $80,295. Because of the extra money, Menlo ended the year with a balance of $225,982, approximately three hundred dollars more than their budgeted amount of $225,684.
