Santa Claus is scheduled to make a few stops in Jefferson over the next few weeks.

Greene County Chamber Director Chris Henning says Santa will be at McAtee Tire on Wednesday, December 3rd from 4-6pm.  He will also be at the second annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony by Jefferson Matters: Main Street in the courthouse rotunda on Thursday, December 4th from 5:30-7pm and he’ll be at the Masonic Lodge on Saturday, December 6th from 10am-noon.

Henning points out one of the final visits for Santa will be extra special on Saturday, December 13th.  After he is at the Masonic Lodge from 10-11:30am, he and Mrs. Claus will lead a crowd of kids to the Sierra Community Theatre.

“He’s riding the fire truck from the Mason’s (Lodge) down to the (Sierra Community) Theatre because there’s a free movie.  “Elf” is showing on the 13th at noon.  And so, Santa’s going to lead the kids to the theatre for that great movie.”

The free merchant movie is made possible by 25 Chamber sponsors and the admission is free for everyone.

Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras to take pictures of their children telling Santa what they want for Christmas this year.

All Santa visits are free and open to the public.
