You may have noticed the Raccoon Valley Radio “Big Red Radio” out at grocery stores in Dallas, Greene and Guthrie Counties over the past couple weeks… that’s because we’re continuing the tradition of our Caring Christmas Food Drive.
General Manager John McGee explains the overall purpose of the campaign.
“The whole point is to work with our local businesses to create enough excitement to get people to donate food to help those in need.”
And all donations collected, go right to the local food pantries, often the same day.
“Any food we collect in the Raccoon River Valley area stays in that specific area. So if we’re out doing a food drive in the Perry area, the food stays right in the Perry area. If we’re up in Greene County the food stays in the Greene County area, and Guthrie the same way.”
Food can be dropped off at any of the local collection sites. Click HERE to see where you can drop off your food donation.
