The BACooN Ride will happen again in 2015. Organizers have announced BACooN Ride TOO: A Second Helpin’ will take place on June 20th.
The 72 mile ride takes place on the Raccoon River Valley Trail. It starts and ends in Waukee, though if you’re not up to doing the whole thing, riders can choose one of the other optional starting points.
It’s presented again by RAGBRAI, the Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival and the Iowa Bicycle Coalition.
Registration will include bacon snacks throughout the route, a bacon themed lunch, a commemorative PassPORK, drink specials, a custom steel pint glass, t-shirt and rice support.
The cost is $50 and registration opens January 24th.
