A reminder for Greene County residents that several offices and businesses will be closed in Jefferson today.

The Greene County Courthouse, Greene County Chamber, ISU Extension office, Greene County Community Center, Jefferson City Hall, the Jefferson Post Office and the Jefferson Public Library will all be closed in observance of Christmas.

The courthouse will remain closed tomorrow.

Jefferson residents are reminded that today’s garbage routes will be delayed to tomorrow.  Those affected need to have their garbage at the curbside by 6am to ensure pick up.

The library staff also reminds everyone that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.
