The City of Guthrie Center City Council and the city’s Utility Board jointly voted to give all city employees a 3% raise becoming in the upcoming budget year. The decision came after discussion of an across-the-board raise of 5% for everyone, as well as no across-the-board raise, and raising pay based on perceived job performance. 3% was a medium solution that was unanimously agreeable.
