Iowa Department of Education Director Brad Buck has announced the next two batches of districts chosen to launch local teacher leadership plans as part of Iowa’s new Teacher Leadership and Compensation System, and a couple of local districts are among them. Guthrie Center and Adair Casey will collaboratively be participating in the program during the 2016/17 school year and will strive to improve classroom instruction and raise student achievement as outlined in the state legislature’s education reform package of 2013. School districts were chosen based on recommendations of the Commission on Educator Leadership and Compensation,
