Alex BruchAn Iowa man faces a felony charge from a two vehicle accident in November in Greene County.

According to court documents, 20 year-old Alex Christopher Bruch from Arcadia is accused and charged with a Class D Felony for two counts of serious injury by motor vehicle and misdemeanors for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and possession of alcohol under the legal age.

Charges stem from a two vehicle accident on November 15th when the accused was traveling in a 2001 Chevrolet Impala and was heading north on Iowa Highway 25 near Scranton and pulled out in front of an eastbound 2014 Chevrolet G1500 van on US Highway 30 and the two vehicles collided.  The driver of the van was uninjured, but Bruch and his three passengers were taken to the Greene County Medical Center with injuries and later the three passengers were Life Flighted to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.  Test results showed that Bruch had a .108 blood alcohol level and admitted to consuming alcohol on the day in question.

Both vehicles were a total loss and there was $300 in damages done to an Iowa Department of Transportation’s road sign.

Bruch was arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail last week and has since been released pending a court date.  He has pled not guilty to call charges.
