A grant writing workshop has been scheduled for all those who are applying for a Greene County Community Foundation grant this year.
President Tim Heisterkamp says it will be at 6pm at the Greene County ISU Extension office in Jefferson on Tuesday, January 13th. The workshop will be led by board members Tom Wind and Linda Hedges.
There is about $121,000 grant money available this year which Heisterkamp adds is about $10,000 less than last year’s figures. He believes its because casino gambling across the state is declining.
Heisterkamp reminds everyone about who qualifies to apply for grant funding.
“The applications have to be done by a non-profit organization. If an individual or a business came and asked for funds, they would be disqualified because they are not a non-profit organization. So any non-profit organization can ask for money.”
Applications are available at any Greene County library, the Greene County ISU Extension office or by clicking HERE.
Deadline to submit all applications is by 4:30pm on February 12th to the Extension office in Jefferson.
