A market study will take place in 2015 with the task of finding out what’s in store for the future of downtown Guthrie Center. The project will be led by a local restructuring committee, and Main Street Guthrie Center’s Julie Bailey, a major player in the project says the idea is to take a sort of snapshot of downtown and go from there, “Kind of a snap shot of what the lifestyles are, the demographics, different retail reports, not only from IEDA, but also from ISU Extension, and then we’ll take a look at the snap shot and go from there.”
