The scheduled “Mega Night” between basketball teams from Greene County and Saydel in Des Moines was postponed from last night to an unknown date. Greene County Activities Director Dean Lansman told Raccoon Valley Radio that cold temperatures and wind chills were a factor in the decision. Coach Lansman added that nearly all games scheduled for last night in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference were called off. He added no makeup date has been set, but the HOIAC holds an Activities Director meeting today and the subject is likely to come up.

The Rams will try on Friday, Jan. 9 in Story City vs. Roland-Story to play for the first time 2015. Coverage on KG98 begins at 5:45 p.m. with the girls’ game at 6 p.m. and boys’ contest to follow.
