A deputy was advised of an unoccupied vehicle that was off the roadway south of Jefferson on the S curves. The vehicle had a 24 hour removal tag already placed on the car.

Three members of the Greene County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Carroll Police Department in locating and arresting Cody Lee Sellman 25, of Carroll, Iowa, in Scranton on warrants from Carroll County.

Two deputies were dispatched to Rippey for the report of a two vehicle accident. A 2008 Ford Focus that was being driven by Courtney Lynn Johnson 16, of Rippey was southbound on Highway 144 and attempting to turn left onto Main Street in Rippey, when due to slick road conditions struck a parked 2012 Ford F350 truck owned by Brubaker Enterprises also of Rippey. Johnson was not injured but her vehicle sustained an estimated $2500 in damages. The Brubaker pickup sustained an estimated $4000 in damages. Courtney Johnson was issued a citation for Failure to Maintain Control of her vehicle.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
