A more important, and more serious fight than those taking place on the mat at tonight’s West Central Valley home wrestling meet will be the focus of the night, as district activities director Tod Broman says those in attendance will have the opportunity to raise money for the local Leukemia and Lymphona Society, “People can actually pledge a certain amount of money for every pin their team gets that night. West Central Valley will be wrestling against 3 teams tonight; Coon Rapids Bayard, Clarinda Academy and Ogden. And you just keep track of how many pins we have in all three of those meets, including JV matches as well, and we just tally up the number of pins, and how much people have pledged, and that will be the dollar amount that will be donated to the LLS.”
