Greene County wrestlers are in an extremely busy stretch of competition that culminates with the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference tournament in Gilbert on Saturday. The Rams were in action on Thursday and Saturday last week, and will be back at it three more dates this week; tomorrow, Thursday, and Saturday.

Coach Mark Sawhill’s team defeated Nevada 57-6 on Jan. 15, then went to Eldora on Jan. 17 and finished fifth among nine teams at the South Hardin Invitational. Tuesday night the Rams will go to Gilbert vs. the home standing Tigers and Kuemper Catholic (Carroll). Thursday means a make up double-dual in Alleman vs. North Polk and South Hamilton (Jewell) before returning to Gilbert on Jan. 24 for the HOIAC tournament. The Rams have won the last three conference tournament titles.
