2015 greene county supervisorsThe Greene County Board of Supervisors met yesterday in regular session.

The Supervisors continued to discuss an issue with Jefferson Congregate Meals and Elderbridge Agency on Aging. Supervisor Dawn Rudolph said Elderbridge will reimburse Jefferson Congregate Meals for their meal expense by the end of this fiscal year.  However, the Supervisors were concerned with having an official site to serve meals in Scranton because of the low number of people that go to the site.  The Supervisors will continue to talk with all entities involved and determine what the Supervisors paying for.

The Supervisors approved the County Treasurer’s semi-annual report of $15,738,045.41 for expenses and $16,326,839.09 for revenue from July 1 through December 31, 2014.  They also approved February 2nd as the public hearing date for emergency management’s 2016 fiscal year budget along with all salaries and wages for that department.

There were several county department budget proposals for the 2016 fiscal year.  County Recorder Marcia Tasler’s proposed budget had an estimated $128,159 in expenses and $61,200 in revenue, conservation director Dan Towers had a projected $358,200 in expenses and $142,400 in revenue, drainage department estimated $500 for revenue and $33,700 in expenses, the IT department projected $200 in revenue and a total of $177,000 in expenses and the county treasurer estimated $121,000 in revenue and $260,000 in expenses for the upcoming fiscal year.

Mental Health’s proposed budget had an estimated $465,000 in expenses and the revenue hasn’t been determined yet.  Mental Health Coordinator Diane Jackson said its because the governing board has to decide the amount they want to levy for.

The next Supervisors meeting will be Thursday, January 22nd.
