Most of the snow has been plowed from area roads, but winds can cause drifts, and it’s still easy to spin out or slide into a ditch. Guthrie County Sheriff Marty Arganbright says the easiest way to avoid an accident on slippery road conditions is to slow down. “Most important thing on that I can say is watch your speed. Whether it’s good weather or bad. Speed is a huge factor”.
In addition to the snow drifts, bridges will be incredibly icy, and black ice is invisible, incredibly slippery, and can form anywhere.
