The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors voted yesterday to approve the formation of a joint committee between the County and the City of Guthrie Center to explore the future of law enforcement in the city. It was stated that likely members of the committee would include Mayor Denny Kunkle, City Clerk Laura Imerman, Police Chief Rod Pavelka, County Auditor Jerri Christman, Sheriff Marty Arganbright and one or two members of both the City Council and Board of Supervisors, to be determined at a later date. Before the committee is entirely official, the City Council has to formally approve the idea at their next meeting on Monday night.
