A player feared and talked about all around the West Central Conference, West Central Valley senior Bailee Arnburg has impressive talent, and is averaging nearly 18 points per game this season. Remarkably, that figure is the lowest since her freshman year, when she averaged about 14 points per game. More meaningful, though, is that with 9 wins already this season, West Central Valley has already won more games than any other season since Arnburg’s freshman year. Arnburg scores an average of ten points more per game than any other West Central Valley player, while also leading the team in assists and steals. She is undoubtedly the leader on the court for the Wildcats who have had more peaks and valleys this season than their even 9-9 record would suggest. Over the next week, West Central Valley will play two elite teams; conference foe Des Moines Christian on Friday night, and non conference Grand View Christian on Tuesday night. The games give the blossoming West Central Valley team a chance to establish themselves as a team on the next level with just over a week left until the sudden death playoff game at home against Greene County which signifies one last playoff run for not only Arnburg, but the other three seniors in West Central Valley’s lineup.
