Board of Supervisors Meeting Preview

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session Tuesday morning.

Items on the agenda include approval of payroll change notices, consideration of an office scanner sales and maintenance agreement for the attorney’s office, and consideration of a New World System hardware and license agreement for the Sheriff’s office.

A public hearing will then be held in regards to the final plat of Dawesome Ridge, followed by a continued public hearing in regards to the Emergency Medical Services Department’s Verizon contract.

Finally, the board will consider a drainage district six bid letting and update before holding another budget workshop.

The meeting takes place at 9am in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in Adel.

Perry School Board Meeting Preview

The Perry Community School District Board of Education will hold their February meeting Monday evening.

Items on the agenda include presentations from state large group speech qualifiers, an update from the Teacher Leadership and Compensation team and an update from Superintendent Lynn Ubben.

General business items include approval of an audit firm bid, consideration of a recommendation to Grandwood to seek School Budget Review Committee approval to charge administrative costs and approval of revisions to board policies.

An early graduation request will then be considered, along with cooperative sponsorship renewals for soccer, bowling and boys swimming, followed by personnel changes and an evaluation of school board standards.

The meeting takes place at 6pm in the Brady Library at Perry High School.
