As we’ve mentioned the 12th annual Chocolate Walk in Perry takes place this weekend.
It’s primarily a retail promotion but that hasn’t stopped the Perry Public Library from joining in on the fun.
“People go ‘Well why is the library participating in a commercial or business activity?’ That’s because we love crafts and love chocolate and love seeing people come by the library” says director Mary Murphy.
The library has participated in the Chocolate Walk since Murphy started working in Perry four years ago and it has always been an interactive experience.
“You can sit down, have some hot chocolate, enjoy the warmth and make a little valentine. This year, we’re so crafty at the library, it’s a little book. It’s a little three-by-three book that has pages in it and you can tailor it to whoever you want to make this book to for your valentines.”
The Chocolate Walk takes place Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Tickets are available at the library or the Chamber office for $5 or two for $8.
