Over 80,000 spectators, and hundreds of competitors from across the state will be heading to Des Moines later this week for the Iowa State High School Wrestling Tournament. For those traveling to watch the two Panorama competitors, George Appleseth and Marcus Boldy, Panthers head wrestling coach Jason Kirtley says they wrestle at 6 pm on Thursday, and fans should arrive at about five o’clock. “I usually tell fans to get their about an hour ahead of time and get their ticket, and it’s all general admission, so you sit wherever you sit. You just buy your ticket and go in.”
The state wrestling tournament is taking place at Wells Fargo Arena, located right off of Interstate 235 exit 8A in downtown Des Moines.
