Anyone who would like more information about how to better handle youngsters are invited to a special five-week session at the Greene County Early Learning Center.
Greene County ISU Extension Coordinator Lori Mannel says they are partnering with New Opportunities to host the “Love and Logic” program. It is for parents and caregivers of newborns to six year-olds with tips on how to handle them in certain situations. She describes some of the topics that it will cover.
“It handles topics such as: getting kids to get to bed on time, disruptions during meal times, a little bit of the whining that may happen during those years, discipline in public (and) how to get them up and moving in the morning.”
The topics will also include practical skills that participants can use immediately.
The free five-week program will begin on Monday, February 23rd and it will be every Monday with a break on March 16th. It will be from 6-8pm. Space is limited and to reserve your spot, call New Opportunities in Carroll at 712-563-2777.
