Governor Terry Branstad visited Power Lift in Jefferson as part of his 99-county tour on Wednesday.
Owner and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Conner led Branstad on the tour of their 70,000 square-foot facility. Power Lift has been incorporated since 2000. They cater to several high schools, colleges and professional sports teams, as well as branches of the military and international entities in need of high-quality weightlifting equipment.
Later this week, Power Lift will once again send some of its equipment to the National Football League rookie combine in Indianapolis, Indiana which they’ve done for several years.
Conner also hinted at wanting to expand his building in the near future to keep up with the demand for their products.

With all the economic opportunities that Greene County has to offer, Branstad says there’s lots of momentum to drive people to the area.
“Greene County is not a big county, but it’s a county that’s got a lot of activity going on right now and I think that’s a really good thing. So we want to do what we can at the state level to encourage and support that.”
Branstad also visited Van Diest in Webster City and Pella Windows in Carroll on Wednesday.
