perry libraryThe Perry Public Library invites all area families to come check out all they have to offer this weekend.

Children’s Librarian Suzanne Kestel says national Take Your Child to the Library Day was February 7th but because of the annual Bike Ride to Rippey, she chose to celebrate it this Saturday instead.

“Rick Eugene is going to come and do balloon animals for the kids.  We have somebody coming to do face painting.  Larry Vodenik is going to bring his sugar gliders, and if you’ve never seen a sugar glider they’re very unique.  The one-time he brought them a couple years ago the kids loved seeing them.”

Kestel says each child will also be able to take home a free book and color their own bookmark.

The idea is to get families to come into the library, sign up for a library card, see the new improvements to the building and check out additions to their various collections.

It takes place Saturday from 10am-1pm.  For more information, call 465-3569.
