Dallas County Board of Supervisors to Meet Twice Tuesday

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will meet twice Tuesday.

Items on the regular meeting agenda that starts at 9am, include approval of payroll change notices, union tentative agreements and a sheriff’s office union waiver of timeline.

A public hearing will then be set in regards to a contract for the Emergency Medical Services vehicle tele-monitoring system.  Dust control vendor permits will be considered, along with a resolution in regards to the reconstruction project for R16 south of Highway 6 and a granular material hauling contract.

At 9:30am there will be a public hearing in regards to the amended final plat of Kenyon Hill Ridge, followed by discussion on relocating the sheriff’s civil division office and the draft documents for the revolving loan fund.

Finally, the Board will hear an update on the human services campus renovation project and hear an introduction from a potential Board of Health member.

The Supervisors will then reconvene at 7pm to hold a public hearing in regards to the proposed fiscal year 2016 County budget, followed by consideration of the compensation board’s recommendations for elected official’s salaries and adoption of the proposed budget.

The meetings take place in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in Adel.

 

Perry School Board Meeting Preview

The Perry Community School District Board of Education will hold their March meeting tomorrow.

Items on the agenda include a hearing in regards to the elementary school parking lot project, followed by awarding a contract.  Next, there will reports on the 2013-2014 school audit report, the proposed 2016 budget and a school board self-evaluation.

General business items include approval of the 2014 audit, approval of the budget guarantee resolution and setting a hearing date for the proposed 2016 budget.  The board will then consider a universal preschool 28E agreement, approve the 2016 insurance plan and rates, and approve Target and Wells Fargo donations into the general fund as recommended by the auditor.

Finally, the board will consider updated admission prices for extracurricular activities and approve personnel changes and board policy revisions.

The meeting takes place at 6pm in the Brady Library at Perry High School.

 

Adel DeSoto Minburn School Board Meeting Preview

The Adel DeSoto Minburn Community School District Board of Education will meet in regular session tomorrow evening.

Items on the agenda include public hearings in regards to measuring time in school by hours instead of days and the early start calendar, followed by an update on the Minburn gym project and discussion on track repair work.

The Board will then consider removing the portable classroom, approve a change order for the Adel Elementary project, set lunch prices for the upcoming school year and share fiscal year 2016 budget information.

Public hearings will then be set for the proposed budget and Children’s Internet Protection Act, followed by consideration of a resolution in regards to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, consideration of a certified staff increase and an elementary guided reading resource order.

Discussion items on the agenda also include the 2015-2016 calendar, an update on the agriculture program and a curriculum update.

The meeting takes place at 6pm in the District board room in Adel.
