In a busy postseason of individual honors, Perry seniors Claire Marburger and Maggie Lowe picked up two of the biggest the state has to offer earlier this week.
Marburger was named an Iowa Girls Coaches Association 1st Team all stater for the third time in her career. The Perry senior was one of four Raccoon River Conference members named to the first team. Gabbie Doud, Mariah Criswell and Payton Keeney were all first team selections. She was also recognized by the Des Moines Register and placed on the 4A All-USA Iowa 1st team. Marburger shared the first team with Indianola’s Grace Berger, Winterset’s Mariah Criswell, Harlan’s Jess Schaben and Rose Simon Ressler from Western Dubuque. Harlan defeated Western Dubuque for the 4A title this year.
Lowe was placed on the IGCA 3rd team All State squad. Lowe will play for Wayne State next year.
