Greene County’s girls’ head track & field coach Kelly Simpson told Raccoon Valley Radio the Rams will have entries in all events except the 4 x 800 and 4 x 400 meter relays at today’s Iowa State University High School meet. The event is being held indoors at the Student Rec Center and will feature teams and athletes from all over the state.

Coach Simpson said the purpose for going to Ames is to get some performances in. “That’s really what we want to do, but weren’t expecting 60 and 70 degree workout weather previous to this. We’ll get some times in, some different competition, and some different lineups in some of the relays. That’s really our only goal.”

Today’s meet begins at 3 p.m.
