Nodaway Valley head boys basketball coach Darrell Burmeister was honored during the halftime of the Class 2A Boys Basketball State Tournament final on Friday night. During the ceremony, Burmeister was honored for reaching the milestone of 500 career wins. 99 of those wins came with Bondurant-Farrar. 401 of them came with Nodaway Valley. Burmeister’s Nodaway Valley squad was eliminated in the first round of the Class 1A State Basketball Tournament this year but Burmeister told Raccoon Valley Radio that he likes his teams’ chances of making it back to the State Tournament next season.
