The Guthrie Center boys track team had two of the top eight finishers in the mile run at the Audubon Early Bird Track Meet on Tuesday. Sam Courtney finished 2nd in the event with a time of 5 minutes 2 seconds; Courtney was less than a second behind the race winner, Riverside’s Tim Brink. Guthrie Center’s Landon Foster came in 7th place overall with a time of 5 minutes 17 seconds. Foster performed even better in the two mile run, finishing third overall with a time of 11 minutes 20 seconds.
