The ADM girls golf team started the season off right on Saturday at Warrior Run Golf Course in Norwalk, winning the nine-hole Norwalk High School Invite.
The Tigers edged Grinnell by just two strokes, shooting a tournament-low 196, to win the tournament title. ADM’s four scorers were lead by senior Taylor Born, who finished second overall by shooting a 44. She was followed by juniors Nicole Bever and Tania Teleford, who tied for 9th with 50 strokes, and senior Lexi Owen, who finished 11th overall at 52.
The Tigers will work on refining their swings the next three days before returning to competition on Thursday for the first time at their home course, River Valley Golf Course, against Woodward-Granger and Madrid.
