As previously reported, State Representative Clel Baudler’s bill which aims to raise penalties for the use and distribution of synthetic marijuana passed unanimously in the Iowa House. The bill recently made it through a Senate committee and Baudler says he hopes it passes in the full Senate, unchanged. “There was no amendments in committee. I’m hoping there’s no amendments on the floor to try and weaken in. We can vote on it there. I hope it will be unanimous.”

If the bill passes in the Senate, it would head to the desk of Governor Terry Branstad to be signed into law.
